Maira graduated with an MBA from the University of Memphis. With two years of experience in HR, she is a young professional focusing on developing her career in the field. She is an advocate for people and her life philosophy is “driving by doing”. Maira is originally from Colombia and loves meeting different cultures. She has been part of different exchange programs in the US and Italy.

Fun Facts/Hobbies: I am from Colombia, but I barely drink coffee. I love outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. I love to travel, explore new places, and meet new cultures.
Do you have a favorite: musician, artist, or sports figure/team? I am not a sports fan but I have been enjoying baseball games lately. I also do not mind watching soccer games with friends. My favorite music genre is tropipop and other Latin genres. I do not have a favorite artist but I like a lot of Carlos Vives.
What do you love about design? For me, design is a way to communicate and express ideas that are transformed into unique experiences.
Something people don’t know about you: I love music and I used to sing for the church choir.
