The Medicines Company is a rapidly growing 500-person global pharmaceutical company based in New Jersey. It is currently expanding world-wide, including establishing a foothold in Kendall Square, Cambridge, a nexus for tech and bio-tech companies. This first outpost (6,000 SF) is designed to meet the needs of several permanent support staff, four senior executives, an visiting executives from NJ. Ragon Institute at MGH, MIT and Harvard Boston, MA   USA

The design was developed in collaboration and partnership with Linea 5 Architects (Richard Radville RA) The Ragon Institute was founded at MGH, MIT and Harvard with two goals. First, to contribute to an accelerated discovery of an HIV/AIDS vaccine and secondly, to serve as a world leader in the collaborative study of immunology. To that end, through the generous funding by Susan and Terry Ragon, the Institute has emerged since 2009 as a leader in its field. InterSystems Corporation Cambridge, MA   USA

The project’s goal was to create a comfortable yet elegant workplace with a strong identity for InterSystems Corporation, an established but growing Cambridge based software company. This 44,000 SF build-out occupies two floors of a 1980’s 20 story riverfront tower originally built for residential use. The new headquarters is located on the 8th and 9th floors of the tower and overlooks the surrounding urban landscape around it. The program calls for accommodating the main reception area, executive offices, conference rooms, training facilities, tea rooms, and work space for the marketing, sales and HR departments.
